other NOI officials. Put them on
every Jewish press release list
that we can find. In Atlanta
alone, there are 24 synagogues
and about 70 Jewish organiza-
tions. Many of them have a va-
riety of newsletters. Who would
want all of that crammed into
their mailbox? Not enough? Put
him on the fax list, too.
We'll send our public relations
spokespersons around to keep
telling the media, "He doesn't
like to admit it, but he loves us.
In fact, his supposed attacks are
his way of saying, Tm with you;
don't forget me. "
We should also offer Louis
Farrakhan a few awards. After
all, he's done as much to pro-
mote Jewish identity as many
Jewish groups. And our annual
banquets really are boringly pre-
dictable.
Finally, we should volunteer
en masse at NOI programs. For
their staff meetings, we'll bring
the kippered herring, slice the
bagels and even grind the horse
radish. They'll love it! If this
doesn't work immediatley, even-
tually we'll get them with the
high cholesterol from the bagel
spreads.
Of course, let's keep our plan
a secret for now. When he learns

It's time to have
some fun with Louis
Farrakhan.

of it, Mr. Farrakhan won't be
surprised. That's because he reg-
ularly tells his followers that,
according to him, we surrepti-
tiously run the world. Why spoil
the illusion?
Look, I know that it sounds
silly. But aren't we all sick of
dealing with this guy? He's ob-
viously not going away and, like-
wise, we can't ignore him. So we
need to come up with something
different. So let's play with his
head for a while. And this time,
we'll keep the laugh for our-
selves. ❑
