Passport To Israel is an educa-
tional enrichment program spon-
sored by the National Council of
Jewish Women, Greater Detroit
Section. This program presents
cultural, geographical and his-
torical information on modern Is-
rael to children in public andC\
private schools in grades 4-8. To
be a volunteer, no previous Israeli
experience is needed.
Two volunteer training work-
shops are scheduled for the first
week of October. Attend either
on Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 9:30
a.m. -12:30 p.m. or Thursday,
Oct. 3 from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Workshops will be held at the n,
NCJW office, 30233 Southfield `.-\
Road in Southfield.

Donor Lunch

Women's American ORT Michi-
gan Region will honor major gift
contributors and donors at a
donor luncheon and fashion pre-
sentation at Neiman Marcus
Somerset Collection, Troy, on
Thursday, Sept. 26, at noon to
benefit ORT Braude Interna-
tional College of Technology in
Karmiel, Israel.
Valet parking and gifts for all
donors and major contributors
have been arranged. Tickets are
a minimum $100 contribution.

Plans Meeting

Glennwood Chapter of Women's
American ORT will hold its open-
ing meeting on Wednesday, Sept.
18, at 7:30 p.m. From "Around
the World," chapter leaders will
be presented by the "Not Ready
for Prime Time Singers."
The meeting, at the Mapletree
Clubhouse, 28493 Franklin Road,
is open to members and guests.

announcements is 10 a.m. Mon-
day, four days prior to issue date;
out-of-town obituaries, 10 a.m.
Tuesday, three days prior to issue
