Gives Talk

Hillel of Metro Detroit, will speak
on the history, philosophy and
activities of the national Hillel at
the meeting of the American
Zionist Movement (Michigan Re-
gion) Board, Wednesday, Sept.
11, at 7:30 p.m. at the home of

Rosh Hashanah
For Singles

Rabbi Daniel B. Syme will con-
duct a Rosh Hashanah service
for singles at 6 p.m. Sunday,
Sept. 15, at Temple Beth El.
Rabbi Syme will speak on "Fam-
ilies in the Torah — Their Prob-
lems and Lessons for Us Today."
The service, part of the ongoing
Singles Shabbat series, is spon-
sored by the Michigan Board of
Rabbis in cooperation with The
Jewish News and the Communi-
ty Outreach and Education De-
partment of the Jewish Federation
of Metropolitan Detroit.
A reception will follow services.
