WSU Extension Hebrew Program Edith Covensky, poetess and lec- turer in Hebrew language and lit- erature, will teach "Jewish Civilization from Abraham to the Establishment of the Modern State of Israel" at the Wayne State University Farmington Hills Extension Center this fall. This course will concentrate on Russian and European Jewry. The course is offered by the De- partment of Near Eastern and Asian Studies, College of Liberal Arts at Wayne State University and will be conducted from 4:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Tuesdays at the extension center on 12 Mile and Drake. Temple Plans Judaism Course Temple Israel will begin an 11- week Introduction to Judaism class beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 7:30 p.m. at the temple. Yedwab, Rabbi Joshua L. Bennett and Cantor Harold Orbach. The cost of the course is $100 per couple and $80 per individ- ual, with a $55 book fee.
