New officers for Temple Shir
Shalom were installed recently at
special service.
Judge Jessica R. Cooper has
been elected president of the con-
gregation. She is the first woman
in the temple's history to hold this
office. Other new offices are: Man-
ny Foner, Steve Simons — vice
presidents; Richard Smith — sec-
retary; Gordon Weinstein — trea-
surer.
Judge Cooper has served on
boards of several community ser-
vices including HAVEN, Cystic
Fibrosis Foundation, Jewish Fam-
ily Service and was recently
named to the Advisory Board of
Forgotten Harvest. She is a found-
ing memeber of the National As-
sociation of Women Judges. She
is a founding member of the Na-
tional Assocation of Women

Judges. She was first elected to
the Circuit bench in November of
1986 and was reelected in 1992.
