weighing four kilograms, is one
of the largest statues of its kind
found until now in the land of
Canaan.

Also noteworthy are two stat-
uettes of bulls and several
weapons, including a sickle
sword, scale armor and a battle
ax.
In the second excavation area
of Hazor, on the northern slope
of the upper city, archaeologists
have continued to uncover the
two main architectural com-
plexes in the city area: the mon-
umental staircase that
