dana Gottlieb have joined the
staff of the Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit.

Associate director of the Al-
lied Jewish Campaign, Mrs. Lin-
der will be responsible for major
gifts and the Young Leadership
Cabinet and will assist in the
overall coordination of the Cam-
paign. Prior to coming to Fed-
eration, she was the
development director of the Uni-
versity of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
School of Nursing. She worked
as an account executive for a
marketing firm, as assistant
Campaign director of the Mem-
phis Jewish Federation and as
university program consultant
of the United Jewish Appeal of
Chicago.
Ms. Gottlieb is a staff associ-
ate in the Planning and Agency
Relations Department, respon-
sible for the Culture and Group
Service Division and Partner-
ship 2000 programs. She was a
graduate intern of the Baltimore
Institute for Jewish Communal
Services working at the Jewish
Community Center of Metro-
politan Detroit, the Jewish Fam-
ily Services of Baltimore and the
Jewish Community Center of
Greater Baltimore.

The Shalom Detroit Committee
of the Jewish Federation Women's
Campaign and Education De-
partment invites newcomers to
the community to its summer pro-
gram at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug.
22, at the Max M. Fisher Build-
ing.
Ellyce Field author of the new-
ly updated Kids Catalog of Michi-
gan Adventures series, Detroit
News family entertainment
columnist and WJR family activ-
ities reporter, will be the guest
speaker. Mrs. Field will describe
metro Detroit and outstate sites,
special day trips, overnight ad-
ventures, out-of-the-way explo-
ration and seasonal events.

Shalom Detroit provides new-
comers with information about
the Jewish community, Federa-
tion and its Women's Campaign
and Education Department and
the Allied Jewish Campaign. At
the meeting, participants will
have the opportunity to become
registered Michigan voters.
Refreshments will be served.
