Machon Hosts
Two Programs

Machon L'Torah, the Jewish
Learning Network of Michigan,
will hold a program on Thurs-
day, Aug. 29, at 7:30 p.m. for
the Russian outreach division.
The program will include an ed-
ucational lecture given by Rabbi
Avraham Jacobovitz; Roman
Lundin will translate into Russ-
ian. The event will be held
at Machon L'Torah, 15221 W.
10 Mile Road in Oak Park.
Refreshments will be served.
There is no charge. For infor-

In addition, Rabbi Jacobovitz
will give a lecture at the home of
Pinkas and Shirley Jarcaig in
Windsor, Ontario, on Wednesday,
Aug. 28, at 7:30 p.m. For infor-

CHaZaKaH
Hosts Singer

CHaZaKaH, the Adat Shalom
Synagogue seniors, will host a re-
turn engagement of entertainer
Joe Sharpe on Thursday, August
22, at 12:30 p.m.
The performance will feature
a songfest of popular Jewish and
American music. A light lunch
will be served prior to the pro-
gram.
There is a $3 charge for CHaZ-
aKaH members and a $4 fee for
non-members. Reservations are

Preschoolers
Program Set

Congregation Shir Tikvah will
hold a free family education pro-
gram for pre-schoolers. The
group meets monthly at Roeper
School and gives children a
chance to play, do crafts, eat a
snack, and interact with other
children from the congregation.
A new group will start in Oc-
