DAVID ROSEN of Farmington

Hills recently attended the Michi-
gan Technological University's
Summer Institute for Arts and
Sciences program. Mr. Herman is
a senior at Harrison High School;

Isadore
Malin

Co-chair of the Nursery School
Committee, Dr. Colman has
worked with the director of ear-
ly childhood education, Marlene
Thav, during her first year in
charge of the nursery. Previous-
ly a member of the Religious
School Committee, Dr. Colman
also serves as facilitator for the
Temple's Cancer Support Group.
Active in the community as well,
she is the co-chair of the effort to
pass the Bloomfield Township
public transportation millage
and works on behalf of several
candidates for local and nation-
al offices. She is a life member of
Hadassah, National Council of
Jewish Women and temple sis-
terhood. Dr. Colman is a child
psychiatrist in practice in the
Birmingham area.
Isadore Malin extended efforts
to bring together Temple Beth
El, the American Jewish Corn-
inittee and the Reverend Ken-
neth Flowers of Detroit's Greater
New Mount Moriah Missionary
Baptist Church last year. He pre-
sented the temple's new cantor,
Stephen Dubov, in his sold-out
community debut concert. A past
president of Brotherhood and the
Middle Years Group, a founder
of the Married Group, member
of the Usher Corps, Mr. Malin
also in a past as well as the cur-
rent president of Beth Elders. In
addition, Mr. Malin is the unof-
ficial temple photographer. Ac-
tive in the American Arabic and
Jewish Friends of Metropolitan
Detroit, he has also twice served
as a B'nai B'rith lodge president.
