Moves Torahs

On Sunday, Aug. 11, the Young
Israel of Oak Park will hold a
Hachnasat Sifrei Torah as the
congregation moves its Torah
scrolls from the Oak-Woods
building to the Greenfield build-
ing.
The ceremony will begin at
8:30 am with morning services
at Oak-Woods, 24061 Coolidge,

Take Cruise

A view of the Detroit skyline and
dancing to the sounds of Star
Tax will highlight the Jewish
Federation Young Adult Divi-
sion boat cruise 7 p.m. Wednes-,
day, Aug. 21, aboard the
Diamond Belle Riverboat.
The evening, planned for sin-
gle and married young adults,
will feature a two-hour cruise on
the Detroit River, munchies and
a cash bar.
There is a charge and casual
attire is suggested. Reservations
are limited and due by Aug. 12.
