zor greeted customers the fol-
lowing day at a breakfast at
Saks Fifth Avenue, Troy. Jack-

ie Layne, Arlene Greer and

ciates at Saks, also greeted
guests. Mr. de la Renta just in-
troduced a new line, "Oscar."
`The styles are similar to cou-
ture but are at a moderate
price," said Ms. Layne, also a
personal shopper for Saks. The
colors of salmon, pistachio,
mocha and rust dominated the
clothing, which included shear-
ling coats and suits.

JERUSALEM 3000

In advance of the November
1996 State of Israel Bonds
Women's Division Jerusalem
3000 recognition ceremony in Is-
rael, there will be a local event
on Aug. 22 at the home of Mar-
lene and Paul Borman hon-
oring Tillie Brandwine. The
guest speaker is Linda Scherz-
er, director of minority relations,
Israeli Consulate of New York.
Emma Lazaroff Schaver is
the honorary chairman of this
Golda Meir Jerusalem 3000 trib-
ute dinner. The associate chair-
men include Melissa and

Mark Brandwine, Beverly
and Warren Brandwine,
Lois and Hadar Granader,
Barbara Stollman, Dulcie
Rosenfeld, Miriam
Shenkman and Jane Sher-
man. A 1996 Bonds commit-

ment of $5,000 is requested in
the spirit of the Golda Meir
Club.
