Na'amat USA/Greater Detroit
Council will hold a combined
meeting of three chapters: Di-
mona, Hanita-Israel, and
Sharona. This special meeting
will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 13,
at 1 p.m. at the Crown Pointe
building.
The speaker will be Doris
Sheetz, a retired banker and a
Botsford Hospital volunteer. Her
topic will be "You Never Outgrow
Your Need for Friends."
There is no charge for the
meeting. Guests are welcome.
Reservations are not required.

Sisterhood Plans
Rummage Sale

The Congregation Beth Achim
Sisterhood will hold its annual
rummage sale on Sunday, Aug.
4, and Monday, Aug. 5, from 9
a.m. - 4 p.m. at the synagogue.

Service Group
Lunch Held

Infants Service Group will hold
its next meeting Tuesday, Aug.
13, at Lancaster Hills clubhouse
at noon; lunch will be served.
Plans are under way for the
Cherub Donor Luncheon, which
will be held at Big Daddy's,
Oct. 9.

After-School
Club Planned

The Maple-Drake Jewish Co-
munity Center will offer a new
after-school club for elementary
school children.
Children in kindergarten
through fifth grade will have op-
tional transportation from des-
ignated schools in West
Bloomfield, Walled Lake and
Farmington Hills to the Jewish
Center. Activities include: swim-
ming, in-line skating, tennis, Ju-
diac programs, aerobics, dance,
softball, drama, computer lab,
and visits to the Janice Charach
Epstein Museum Gallery and My
Jewish Discovery Place Museum.
Supervised homework and
kosher snacks also are provided.
Children in the club will receive
discounts on after-school classes.
Registration is being accepted
for daily and weekly participa-
tion. Fees vary with the child's
attendence schedule. For infor-
mation and to register, call the
Center's Sports and Fitness De-
partment, 661-7678.
