ple Israel will offer the Physical-
ly Challenged Social and Support
Group for adults with mobility
impairments.
The group will meet on the fol-
lowing Thursdays at 7 p.m.: Sept.
12, 24; Oct. 10, 24, 31; Nov. 14,
21; Dec. 11.

Proceeds from the event will
support the 16 homes and four
independent living programs
JARC operates locally for people
with developmental disabilities.

The program is offered for chil-
dren 21/2 to 5 years old. Parents
have the choice of signing up for
two to five days with an optional

Honors Ellenson
On Saturday, Aug. 3, Congrega-
tion Beth Achim will hold a spe-
cial kiddush following services in
honor of the 90th birthday of
Louis Ellenson. Services will be-
gin at 8:45 a.m.
Mr. Ellenson served as a pres-
ident of the congregation, is a reg-
ular member of the daily minyan
and has worked in the synagogue
office since his retirement 25
years ago. He will chant the

JARC services. She is a board
member of Israel Bonds Women's
