Mrs. Geraldine J. Miller of Oak
Park is pleased to announce the
engagement of her daughter,
Melissa Faith, to Harley David
Manela, son of Mrs. Eunice
Manela of Farmington Hills.
Melissa is the daughter of the
late Jack A. Miller and Harley is
the son of the late Nathan
Manela.
Melissa is a Phi Beta Kappa
graduate of Wayne State Uni-
versity, where she was a Merit
Scholar and received her bache-
lor of science degree, magna cum
laude, in psychology. She also

earned her juris doctor degree
from Wayne State University
Law School and is an attorney in
private practice. Harley is a grad-
uate of the University of Michi-
gan, where he received his
bachelor of arts degree in politi-
cal science. He also earned his ju-
ris doctor degree from Wayne
State University Law School.
Harley is an attorney with the
firm of Lakritz, Herman & Wiss-
brun, P.C., in Bingham Farms.
Melissa and Harley will be
married in August at Congrega-
tion Beth Abraham Hillel Moses.

Sandy and Arielle Nelson are
thrilled to announce the engage-
ment of their aunt, Julie Aviva
Nelson, daughter of Lois and
Harry Nelson, to Jan Ira Klein,
son of the late Marlene and Ed-
ward Klein.
Julie received her undergrad-
uate degree from Michigan State
University and her juris doctor
from Detroit College of Law. She

is in private practice in South-
field.
Jan received his undergradu-
ate degree from Detroit College
of Business and his master's in
psychology from Mercy College.
He is a limited licensed psychol-
ogist and certified hypnothera-
pist in private practice at the
South Woodward Clinic in Birm-
ingham.
