Mr. Shainder received a master's degree in speech therapy from Wayne State University and a doctorate from Case Western Reserve University. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II, di- rected a speech and hearing clinic in Cincinnati and was em- ployed by the Development Cor- poration for Israel (Israel Bonds) for 32 years, the last 25 as direc- tor of the Speakers Bureau. He was the son of the late Abraham and Mania Shnaider. He is survived by his wife, Char- lotte Ann; sons, David of Con- cord, Mass., Daniel of Ft. Lee, N.J.; step-children, Erin and Eric Milnes of Harrisonberg; sis- ter, Renah of Oakland, Calif; two grandchildren. FREDA TENCER, 82, former Detroiter of Scottsdale, Ariz., died July 2.
