CONCEALER TIPS

Engagements

Every time you read about concealer the rule
is ... concealer first, foundation second. I can't
quite understand that method. By the time you
cover the concealer with foundation the con-
cealer is all but blended into oblivion ... noth-
ing left ..."there are the circles again" you say
to yourself. "Why can't these companies make
a concealer that works?
Has anybody thought about putting a concealer
on top of the foundation? It works! Try it.
However, don't powder on top of it. Only the
youngest, smoothest skin under the eye can
handle a slight dusting of powder. For the rest
of us - "if you'll excuse me," no dusting of any-
thing - nada - nothing. Any powder under the
eye catches in the lines and looks like crepe.
Sometimes the color under your eye is actual-
ly almost black caused by allergies or just plain
heredity. Stay away from lite or almost white
concealers ... you will end up with grey cir-
cles under the eyes. Use a densely pigmented
peach, pink or rose. I've custom blended con-
cealers for my clients and they've said "I'm so
excited - I'm finally covering these circles with-
out a heavy crepe look under my eyes:'
Thank you Shifra!
