Louis and Lana Golden recently returned from Israel after dedicating the Louis
Golden Watchtower near the city of Maalot. Mr. Golden responded to the fire
emergency facing Jewish National Fund in 1990 by sponsoring the establishment
of the Louis Golden Watchtower in order for the foresters to identify any potential
fires in the Northern Galilee.

Making calls to thank contributors to the 1996 Allied Jewish Campagin at the first
"Thankathon" are Campaign Chairmen Penny Blumenstein and Robert Slatkin,
and Thankathon Chairmen Stacey Crane and Jonathan Jaffa.

Publicity Deadlines

The normal deadline for local news and publicity items is noon
Thursday, eight days prior to issue date. The deadline for birth
announcements is 10 a.m. Monday, four days prior to issue date;
out-of-town obituaries, 10 a.m. Tuesday, three days prior to issue
date.
All material must be typewritten, double-spaced, on 8V2 x 11
paper and include the name and daytime telephone number of
sender.
