"Caring for Your Aging Parent"
is a program to be held at the
Maple-Drake Jewish Communi-
ty Center on Aug. 22, at 7:30
p.m.; it will be free of charge.
Rick Bloom, radio talk show
host of "Money Talk" on WXYT,
will be the moderator of the pan-
el, which will give information
about Medicare and Medicaid,
legal issues, home support ser-
vices, housing options for older
adults, home for aged and nurs-
ing home options, health issues
affecting the elderly and Jewish
hospice.
There will be a Resource Fair
following the panel discussion.
The program is co-sponsored
by the Jewish Community Cen-
ter, the Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit, Hospice of
Southeastern Michigan, The
Jewish News, the LeVine Insti-
tute on Aging of the Jewish
Home for Aged, and with the
planning assistance from the
Federation's Information and Re-
ferral Service.

The normal deadline for local news and
publicity items is noon Thursday, eight
days prior to issue date. The deadline for
birth announcements is 10 a.m. !Monday,
four days prior to issue date; out-of-town
obituaries, 10 a.m. Tuesday, three days
prior to issue date.
