Council, will honor Pearlena
Bodzin at its annual Spiritual
Adoption Luncheon on Thurs-
day, Aug. 1, at Adat Shalom Syn-
agogue.

Pearlena Bodzin

A leading community activist,
Mrs. Bodzin has served as im-
mediate past president of Con-
gregation B'nai Moshe, vice
president of the Ecumenical In-
stitute for Jewish and Christian
Studies, a docent at the Holo-
caust Center, board member of
the Sinai Hospital Guild, volun-
teer at the Endoscopy Unit of
Sinai Hospital, advisory mem-
ber of the Jewish Home for Aged
and board member of the Jewish
Community Council affiliated
with the speakers' bureau.
Performing at the luncheon
will be Penny Steyer, vocalist
and guitarist, who will present
Hebrew, Yiddish and Broadway
show tunes.
There is a charge for the lun-
cheon. For information or reser-
vations, call the council office,
967-4750, by July 26.
