bachelor's degree in biochemical
sciences magna cum laude from
Harvard College. His activities
included research in cell-trans-
duction and involvement in sev-
eral volunteer activities including
City Step, Keylatch and coaching
Cambridge Youth Soccer.

DR. DAVID MITTELMAN, son
of Emanuel and Bessie Mittel-
man of Southfield, recently com-
pleted his doctor of philosophy
degree in clinical psychology at
the University of Detroit. Dr. Mit-
telman's dissertation, titled "Ob-
ject Relations and Spouse Abuse,"
examined the psychological dif-
ficulties of violent couples.

RABBI AMY BRODSKY has
joined the Ecumenical Institute
for Jewish Christian Studies as
assistant director, working with
the Rev. James Lyons to expand
outreach to the community. Rab-
bi Brodsky will speak to and
teach Christian groups about Ju-
daism. Rabbi Brodsky also will
be affiliated with Temple Kol Ami
doing b'nai mitzvah tutoring and
some adult education. During the
summer months, she will be fill-
ing in for Rabbi Roman.

former West Bloomfield resident
now residing in Leesburg, Ala.,
was selected to perform in the
opening and closing ceremonies
of the 1996 Centennial Summer
Olympic Games in Atlanta. Mar-
