Mrs. Gornaya was the beloved
wife of the late Sergey. She is
survived by her son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Dimitri and Valenti-
na of Oak Park; sisters, Anna
Perlin of New York, Alexandra
Mashinsky of New Jersey.
Interment at Hebrew Memor-
ial Park Cemetery.

DR. LEO HAROLD HARRIS,

82, of Farmington Hills, died
July 8. For the past 60 years Dr.
Harris was a dentist in Madison
Heights. He received his under-
graduate, graduate degree and
dental degree from Marquette
University and was a member of
Alpha Omega Fraternity. He
was also a member of the Amer-
ican Dental Associaton, Detroit
District Dental Society, a
Shriner, a member of Dalia Gar-
dening Club and a member of
Temple Emanu-El.
Dr. Harris is survived by his
wife, Helen; sons and daughters-
in-law, Bruce and Sheila of
Farmington Hills, Dr. Roger of
West Bloomfield, Dr. Michael
and Elisha of Troy; grandchil-
dren, Brian, Elizabeth and Lee
Harris.
Interment at Beth El Memor-
ial Park. Contributions may be
made to the American Heart As-
sociation, 16310 West 12 Mile
Road, Southfield, MI 48076.

SEYMOUR LOUIS
HEYMAN, 74, of Farmington

Hills, died July 8. Mr. Heyman
was a controller for Independent
Sprinkler Company.
He is survived by his wife,

Ronald Lushia of Farmington

DENA KAPLAN, 85, of South-

field, died July 3. Mrs. Kaplan
was a department store clerk.
She was the beloved wife of
the late Samuel Kaplan, the lov-
ing mother of the late Shari Dis-
ner and the dear sister of the
late Mollie Brooks Pink and the
late Morton Brooks. Mrs. Ka-
plan is survived by her grand-
children, Arthur and Rose Berg-
er, Debbie and Michael
McSweeney, Leah and Jeff
Choulet; sister and brother-in-
law, Bernice and Samuel Block
of Washington, D.C. Interment
at Clover Hill Park Cemetery.

LEILA BIRNKRANT LAW,

90, former Detroiter of Miami,
Fla., died June 24. She was the
beloved wife of the late Samuel
Birnkrant and the late Devitt
Law. She is survived by her son
and daughter-in-law, Mel and
Eunice Birnkrant of Beacon,
N.Y.; granddaughters, Saman-
tha and Alexandra a sister.

JOSEPH LOUIS LEICHT-
MAN, 90, of Ann Arbor, died

June 30. Mr. Leichtman was
the beloved husband of the late
Rose. He is survived by his son
and daughter-in-law, Dr. Alan
and Peggy of Ann Arbor; grand-
children, Jennifer, Nicholas,
Amy, Jacob.

Detroiter of Los Angeles, died
June 29. He was the beloved

Santa Monica, Calif.; daughters
and son-in-law, Helen and Har-
ry Tenenbaum of Las Vegas,

Richard and Howard Lippitt;
brothers, Albert of Miami, Fla.,

DR. IRVING NEDELMAN,

83, of East Lansing, died July
2. Dr. Nedelman graduated
from the University of Michi-
gan Dental School and prac-
ticed dentistry for 61 years. He
was a member of the American
Dental Association, the Michi-
gan Dental Association, Veder
Society of Crown and Bridge
Prosthodontics, the American
College of Dentistry and the In-
ternational College of Den-
tistry. Dr. Nedehnan was a past
president of the Lansing Ex-
change Club, B'nai B'rith and
the Jewish Welfare Federation,
a member of Congregation
Shaarey Zedek in East Lansing
as well as the Walnut Hills
Country Club.
He was the husband of the
late Ruth and father of the late
Jo Ann Alfred. He is survived
by his son and daughter-in-law,c'
Dr. Arnold and Rebecca of Los
Angeles; grandchildren, Erin
(Keith) Rosen of Charleston,
S.C., Susan (Marc) Schechter of
Birmingham, Kathyrn (Dirk)
Smith of Los Angeles, Jeffrey
