An attack on any house of worship is an attack on all houses of worship.

The Jewish community shares the outrage of all people of faith and good will at the
burning of African American churches throughout the South and in other areas of
the country.

The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit and the Jewish Community Council
join together in support of efforts to rebuild the churches that are such a vital part
of the African American community.

We urge all members of our Jewish community to participate in our partnership to
raise funds for this reconstruction. Contributions can be sent payable to:

Jewish Community Council Arson Relief Fund
c/o Jewish Community Council
6735 Telegraph Road, Suite 100
Bloomfield Hills, MI 48301

Through this special, organized effort, we will demonstrate both to the victims of
arson and to our fellow Detroiters that the Jewish community is united in its resolve
to confront the attacks and to help rebuild these houses of worship.

Further, we call on the federal government and law enforcement agencies to pursue
and prosecute the perpetrators to the fullest extent of the law.

All of us have something at stake here. Please join us in making a powerful
statement from the Jewish community of Detroit.
