The Detroit Maccabi team will participate in the games in New Jersey beginning Aug. 18. The Ann Arbor team includes boys' age 13-14 basketball, girls' volleyball, dance, golf, swimming, tennis and track. The Ann Arbor delegation head is Sharon New- man. Jodie Rosenberg, a 15-year-old gymnast from West Bloomfield, finished third in vault, fifth in floor exercises and 14 overall at the U.S. Association of Indepen- dent Gymnastics Clubs national championships June 9-15 in Haines City, Fla. Jodie had to qualify at the state and regional levels to be one of 1,200 competitors at nationals. Competing in level 10, she scored 9.575 in vault, 9.55 in floor and 36.60 in all-around.
