Lakefront Brownie's is the pre-
sent name of the former Brown-
ie's On The Lake of so many
years ... and with a much more
diversified and upscale menu.
Al still owns the Jefferson
Beach Marina on East Jefferson
in St. Clair Shores, on which the
Lakefront Brownie's sits, but
Leonard and wife, Eileen, are
now its captains.
They took over in September
1995 and are no strangers to a
commercial kitchen ... having one
at home where Leonard likes to
putter with his gourmet dishes.
Freshness and quality are key
words with them ... That's why
nothing is frozen at the new
Lakefront Brownie's ... and all
breads, sauces, soups, etc., are
made on the premises ... Even the
vegetables are freshly cut.
There are always at least five
daily fresh fishes ... red snapper,
whitefish, salmon, perch and
catches of the day.
Best-sellers are the garlic frog
legs, prime rib and seafood to go
along with its many low-fat
items, homemade taco shells and
pasta.

high-top tables 45; and the main
bar, shaped like a boat, 50.
Lakefront Brownie's also has
40 boat wells for watercomers
and a dinghy dock, plus a new
300-foot boardwalk around the
main dock.
Leonard likes to eat out ... and 11:30 to 3, dinner 3 until 11.
