Machon Plans
Two Programs

Machon L'Torah, the Jewish
Learning Network of Michigan,
will hold an educational
lunchtime conference at the Jew-
ish Family Service on Thursday,
June 27, at noon. Rabbi Avra-
ham Jacobovitz will lead a dis-
cussion titled "The Jewish Way
in Marriage and Divorce." The
program will be hosted by
Shirley Jarcaig and will include
a lunch before the discussion.
There is a charge to cover the c
cost of lunch. For information

Machon L'Torah will host
Rabbi Mordechai Neugroschel,
dean of Torah V'Emunah Insti-
tute and senior lecturer for
Arachim International, at a sem-
inar, "The Mysteries of the
Torah," at Machon L'Torah,
15221 West 10 Mile Road, Oak
Park on Monday, July 1, at 7:30
p.m. Rabbi Neugroschel will of-
fer some scientific and archeo-
logical findings. The first lecture
will be "The Correlation of Sci-
entific and Archeological Find-

ings with Biblical Records"
followed by "A Futuristic View of
Jewish Destiny." Refreshments
will be served. For information

Attorney Aaron H. Sherbin has
been elected president of the
Jewish Federation's Young Adult
Division.
A YAD board member since
1991, Mr. Sherbin serves on the
YAD executive board and is the
YAD liaison to Federation's Cul-
ture and Group Services Divi-
sion. He also has co-chaired
YAD's Outreach committee and
phonathons. His other activities
include Bar-Ilan University's
Young Leadership Circle and Is-
rael Bonds' young leadership
group.
