The Rabbinical Assembly, Michi-
gan Region and the United Syn-
agogue of Conservative Judaism,
Michigan Region are introduc-
ing a new program for board
members of Conservative Move-
ment synagogues. The ritual Ed-
ucation Program, created jointly
by the two organizations, is in-
tended to give the Movement's
most educated and committed
leaders greater understanding
of Conservative Judaism's teach-
ings, so that they may become
better Jews and more effective
leaders in their respective syna-
gogues.
The first meeting will be on
Sunday, June 30, at Congrega-
tion Beth Abraham Hill el Moses
from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Af-
ter breakfast, there will be two
sessions, with the same two sem-
inars in each session. The focus
of the first meeting will be on the
life-cycle, from the viewpoint of
Conservative Judaism. The sem-
inars, conducted by Michigan's
Conservative rabbis, will cover
the following subjects: birth, bar
and bat mitzvah, marriage, and
illness and death.
For information, call the Unit-
ed Synagogue office, (810) 642-
4890, by June 26.
