French Get
Un-Synched
French Minister of Sport Guy
Drut last week ordered the
French synchronized swim team
to change its program for the
Olympic Games in Atlanta this
summer.
The team had planned to use
a Holocaust theme for its pro-
gram, goose-stepping into the
pool and acting out the arrival of
Jews at Auschwitz. A team
spokesman said the program
was meant to be a statement
against racism.
