Three Talks

Machon L'Torah, the Jewish
Learning Network of Michigan,
will hold an educational
lunchtime conference at Cigna
Financial on Thursday, June 19,
at 12:15 p.m. Rabbi Avrahm Ja-
cobovitz will lead a discussion on
"Sabbath: The Week Ends With
Life's Genesis." The program will
be hosted by Stuart Sells and will
include a deli lunch before the
discussion. For information and

Machon L'Torah will hold an
educational evening in East
Lansing with the Jewish Law
Student Association on Thurs-
day, June 19. Rabbi Jacobovitz
will lead a discussion on "A
Righteous Lawyer - Contradic-
tion in Terms?' The program will
be held at the Cooley Law School
Building at 5 p.m. and will in-
clude a deli dinner. There is no

lecture at the home of Don. and
Janice Scharg in West Bloom-
field on Wednesday, June 19, at

Institute Hosts
Special Shabbat

Congregation Beth Shalom Sis-
terhood and the Institute for Sin-
gle Jewish Mothers will host
single Jewish mothers and their
families at a Shabbat dinner,
preceded by a Kabbalat Shabbat
service and kiddush at 6 p.m. on
Friday, June 21, at Congregation
Beth Shalom.
There is a charge of $6 for
adults and $3 for children for the
dinner. Scholarship assistance

The Leadership Network of B'nai
B'rith will have its second An-
nual Polaroid Scavenger Hunt
on Saturday, June 22, at 8 p.m.;
meet at the B'nai B'rith Region-
al Council Office at 31600 W.
Thirteen Mile Rd.
There is a four-person-per-car
limit; register as a team or indi-
vidually. Bring a camera; film
will supplied. The cost for the
event is $10 for members and
