Honor Glogowers

Adult students of Rabbi Rod
Glogower and Nehama Glogower
will honor the pair at a
celebration of Torah and friend-
ship at Congregation B'nai Moshe
on Wednesday evening, June 26,
as they prepare to spend the com-
ing academic year in Israel. The
evening will include a dessert re-
ception and two shiurim (text
study sessions) led by Rabbi Gl-
ogower and Nehama Glogower.
There is a charge, and prepaid
reservations are encouraged.
During the coming year, Ne-
hama Glogower will be a senior
educator at the Melton Center for
Jewish Education in the Diaspo-
ra, based at Hebrew University
in Jerusalem.
Rabbi Glogower will be on a
sabbatical in Israel, studying and
writing.
The June 26 event theme will
be "New Beginnings." Rabbi Gl-
ogower will teach from Shabbat
104a, a Talmudic homily explor-
ing the layers of meaning in the
Hebrew Alef-Bet. Nehama Glo-
gower will teach from Chumash,
using aspects of the creation sto-
ry to touch on themes of renew-
al, creativity and return.
