Kenneth Matzick acknowledges Ina Katz's volunteerism.

William Beaumont Hospital vol-
unteer Ina Katz received an
award from Kenneth Matzick, the
Royal Oak facility's vice president
and hospital director, for her 15
years of service.
Ms. Katz was one of 1,300 vol-
unteers honored at a dinner at
the Troy Marriott May 22 that
marked the milestone of 5 million
volunteer service hours since the
hospital opened in 1955. Ms. Katz
is currently a volunteer recep-
tionist in the hospital's outpatient
surgery waiting room.

Award at the 80th Clinical As-
serribly of the American Osteo-
pathic Colleges of Ophthalmology
and Otolaryngology — Head and
Neck Surgery. This award is giv-
en by the board of governors of the
college in recognition of the ad-
vancement of osteopathic medi-
cine and professional proficiency
as well as unusual merit and skills

Dr. Craig Gastwirth, D.P.M.,

was re-elected to the Arthritis
Foundation, Michigan Chapter
board of trustees for a three-year
term. In addition to serving his
second term on the board, Dr.
Gastwirth continues to serve as
the chairman of the foundation's
Professional Education Commit-
tee.

HO), American Osteopathic As-
sociation (AOA), Commission on

of American Pathologists (CAP).

Dr. Donald M. Rochen, D.O.,
F.O.C.O.O., was recently award-

ed the Governors Achievement

Dr. Donald Rochen

in the practice of otolaryngology/
facial plastic surgery.
Dr. Rochen, who practices with
ENT Associates, P.C., is residency
program director and chairman of
otorhinolaryngology at Bi-County
Hospital and is also on the staffs
of Oakland General, Mt. Clemens
General and Botsford hospitals.
He also is on the medical school
faculty of Michigan State Univer-
sity College of Osteopathic Medi-
