died June 2. Dr. Hoffman was a
podiatrist. He was a Lt. Com-
mander in the Navy during
N World War II in the South Pa-
cific and in the Naval Reserve.
Dr. Hoffman was the past pres-
ident of the Zionist Organiza-
tion of America, life member of
Congregation Shaarey Zedek
and a 30-year member of Beth
Achim. He was also a member
of the Jewish War Veterans,
/— past officer of the Shalom Post,
active with Israel bonds, a
diplomat of the American Col-
lege of Foot Surgeons and a
board member of the Michigan
State Board of Podiatry.
Dr. Hoffman was the beloved
husband of the late Leah Hoff-
man and the loving grandfa-
ther of the late William Guy
Hoffman. He is survived by his
sons and daughters-in-law,
Marc and Bettina of Boca Ra-
ton, Fla., Ira and Meredith of
Rockville, Md.; daughter,
Pamela Lazar; grandchildren,
Jill and Candice Lazar, Danny,
Lauren, Ben and Sara Hoff-
man; sister and brother-in-law,
Marion and Dr. Sidney Z. Leib
of West Bloomfield.
Interment at Clover Hill
Park Cemetery. Contributions
may be made to a charity of
one's choice. Arrangements by
the Ira Kaufman Chapel.
