Scholarship Funds
Are Offered
Applications are being accepted
for the Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit 1996-97
educational scholarship fund
which provides financial assis-
tance to families with children
in Jewish Sunday, afternoon
and evening schools.
The scholarships are award-
ed on the basis of a family's fi-
nancial need and part of a larger
initiative to encourage members
of the community to join syna-
gogues and temples while at the
same time promoting Jewish ed-
ucation.
Funds for the scholarships
come from the Allied Jewish
Campaign.
Scholarship forms are avail-
able at the schools and at the
Jewish Federation. Priority will
be given to families who have
current or pending membership
in congregations. Completed ap-
plications must be returned to
the school by June 28.
Families will be notified by
August if their child qualifies for
a scholarship.
For details, call the Planning
Department of the Jewish Fed-
eration, (810) 642-4260; or your
school.
