Rivers is a 162-acre base camp
that includes rustic bunkhouse
cabins, RV sites and camping
grounds. There is also a camp
store, two casual restaurants, a sa-
loon, a fun center for kids and an
outfitters store.
Trips on one section of the Up-
per New River are perfect for fam-
ilies with younger children. They
offer Class I-III rapids. Trips
through the Lower New River ex-
perience Class III and IV rapids
guaranteed to bring on an adren-
aline rush. Class IV and V white
waters are on the Cheat River and
Lower Gauley.
For even more fun, the Upper
Gauley River is 16 miles of Class
V+ white water. Previous rafting
experience is recommended for
this trip.
