Smokier is a National Merit Fi-
nalist and won an essay contest
sponsored by Lawrence Tech.
She is a member of National
Honor Society, Student Council,
Student Leadership Academy,
earned two letters in soccer and
is president of Spanish Club and
Spanish National Honor Society.
She plans to study pre-law at
Smith College.
Soifer is a member of National
Honor Society, was a varsity
gymnast four years (senior co-
captain and All-Area). She has
been active in spring musical
productions, SADD and student
government. She will study pre-
law and education at the Uni-
versity of Michigan.
Stein is a member of National
Honor Society, Student Council,
Quiz Bowl, Science Olympiad,
marching band and percussion
ensemble. He is a teacher's aide
at Temple Israel and Adat
Shalom. Twice he scored top 100
in the Michigan Mathematics
Prize contest. He was a delegate
to Boys' State and won the
Superintendent's Award of Ex-
cellence. He will attend Massa-
chusetts Institute of Technology.
Stephenson is a member of Phi
Beta Kappa and a four-year hon-
or roll student. He is a peer tu-
tor. As a member of Marx AZA,
he recently traveled to Atlanta
to play basketball in a national
tournament. He has participat-
ed in varsity wrestling and stud-
ied martial arts. He will study
pre-medicine at the University
of Michigan.
Stillman was a member of porn
pon squad for two years and class
homecoming representative. She
has been on class board for three
years. She is active in Michigan
Math League and DECA, where
she qualified for state competi-
tions. She will attend the Uni-
versity of Michigan Honors
College.

Weisberg is a member of Phi
Beta Kappa, recipient of the
Wayne State University Presi-
dential Scholarship and qualifies
for the Michigan Competitive
Scholarship Award. She plans to
study at Bnos Chava Seminary
in Jerusalem and continue her
studies at Wayne State Univer-
sity.
Winkler is a four-year honor
student, member of National
Honor Society and Phi Beta Kap-
pa, co-editor of yearbook, Student
Council representative, delegate
to national Model United Na-
. tions and a B'nei Akiva volun-
teer. After a year at Michelet
Mevaseret Yerusalayim in Israel,
she will attend Brandeis Uni-
versity.

Swartz is a National Merit Fi-
nalist, member of National Hon-
or Society, disk jockey for WBFH
Radio, co-editor in chief of the
Lahser Page and a director/ac-
tor. In North American Federa-
tion of Temple Youth, she served
on the Shir Tikvah board, region
board and is religious and cul-
tural vice president. She will at-
tend Northwestern-University.
Tucker is a member of Nation-
al Honor Society, Phi Beta Kap-
pa and French Club. She
participated in the Traub Art
Competition and received other
art awards. She played tennis for
three years and soccer for two.
She will attend the University of
Michigan College of Engineer-
ing.
Wayburn is a member of the
National Honor Society and has
participated in Groves' CARE
and ECO clubs. She is a volun-
teer with. Yad Ezra and the
Greening of Detroit. She plans
to study biology at the Universi-
ty of Michigan.
