She par- ticipated in Generation of Promise, National Youth Lead- ership Conference and Maccabi. In tennis, she was senior co-cap- tain, MVP and All-League; she played JV volleyball, soccer and softball. She will attend the Uni- versity of Michigan. Kirschner qualified for state semifinals and earned a varsity letter in forensics. He won sev- eral awards at Mid-American Model United Nations and has been onstage and behind the scenes in numerous school plays. He is a member of SADD, Im- prov troupe, National Honor So- dety, Science Club and USY, and will graduate Shaarey Zedek High School. He will attend Brandeis University. Kobernick is a member of Na- tional Honor Society, state qual- ifier and three-time league champion in wrestling, four-year Maccabi athlete, two-year Bear Award recipient and MHSAA scholar-athlete of the year for wrestling. He was AZA chapter treasurer in 1995. He will attend Swarthmore College. Kresch is Phi Beta Kappa, a re- cipient of the Wayne State Uni- versity Presidential Scholarship and qualifies for the Michigan Competitive Scholarship. She will attend Bnos Chava Semi- nary in Jerusalem in the fall. Kristall, Phi Beta Kappa, has been on the varsity track team for four years and on cross coun- try for three. He received the most improved athlete and pos- itive mental attitude awards in cross country, as well as the bi- ology and history student awards. He participated in the March of the Living in 1994. He plans to study chemistry or physics at Washington Univer- sity in St. Louis. She plans to study chemistry and play trombone at the Uni- versity of Michigan. Lakin is magna cum laude and member of the interdisciplinary ecology program and environ- mental club. He ran on the league champion cross country team two years, was a member of the Midwest cham- pion JCC basketball team, works with Temple Israel Sunday school students, is active with Michigan Region NFTY and will attend the University of Michi- gan. Country Day Marks is president of North American Federation of Temple Youth-Michigan Region and past president of Youth Federation of Temple Israel. She is a member of National Honor Society, Phi Beta Kappa, three-year class sec- retary, a four-year varsity tennis player and received the Super- intendent's Award of Excellence. She will study pre-medicine at the University of Michigan.
