She was head of advising and co-treasurer of yearbook and volunteered for Federation and others. She will study at Midreshet Moriah in Jerusalem and then at the University of Michigan. Goudsmit is chairman of Stu- dent Congress, member of Na- tional Honor Society and student leadership, former trea- surer and executive board mem- ber of Chalutzim AZA, recipient of AAUW and NYU scholar- ships, lead in school musical and a member of Chamber Singers honors choir. He will attend Tisch School of the Arts film school at New York University. Grant is a National Merit Fi- nalist, Advanced Placement Scholar, member of National Honor Society, participated in track and field for four years and shares the school discus relay record. He plans to study pre- medicine at the University of Michigan Honors College. Gritt is a member of National Honor Society and Scholars Plus. He was drum section leader in the marching band the past two years and participated in sever- al jazz bands. He played varsi- ty tennis for four years. Gritt won a University of Michigan Re- gents-Alumni Scholarship and will attend U-M's College of En- gineering. Hartman is treasurer of Envi- ronmental Club, co-captain of Quiz Bowl and a member of Na- tional Honor Society and Hiking Club. He is on the Michigan Math League and Science Olympiad teams and tutors in the writing lab. He plans to study computer engineering at the Uni- versity of Michigan. She has performed in four musicals and received outstanding achievement awards in physics- chemistry and French. She has received a merit scholarship from and will attend the University of Michigan. Hochbaum is a member of Na- tional Honor Society, Scholars Plus and Phi Beta Kappa. She was an award-winner at Model United Nations and a volunteer for Yachad and MJAC. She won the Detroit Free Press Creative Writing Contest. She will study at Midreshet Moriah in Jerusalem next year and then attend the University of Michi- gan on a Regents-Alumni Schol- arship. Kapitany is on yearbook com-: mittee and honor roll and has re- ceived certificates of recognition from Histdruth Twit of America, Israel Quiz Bowl, Presidential Academic Fitness Award, Michi- gan State Board of Education and Phi Beta Kappa. She volun- teers at Yad Ezra, Oak Park Community Center and Jewish Community Center. She plans to study psychology in Israel. Karp is summa cum laude, de- sign editor of yearbook, All- American Scholar and member of National Honor Society. She will graduate in June from Shaarey Zedek Hebrew High School. Next fall, Karp plans to attend University of Michigan and study pre-law with a con- centration in public speaking and Romance languages. Kaufman is co-chair of Nation- al Honor Society, treasurer of Spanish Honor Society and a participant in Student Council. She has been a varsity gymnast for four years and co-captain as a senior. She was a state quali- fier in DECA. She will attend the University of Michigan.
