For Hillel

Hillel Day School of Metropoli-
tan Detroit will celebrate its an-
nual dinner on May 28, at
Congregation Shaarey Zedek.
Hillel will honor Dr. Milton
and Lois Shiffman for serving
as role models for future grad-
uates in the acts of tzedakah
and their leadership role in the
Generations Campaign.
Rabbi Joseph Telushkin will
speak on Jewish humor; books
will be on sale at the event.
Mike and Mary Must will re-
ceive the Rabbi Jacob Segal
Award for their commitment to
Jewish education.

Jewish Hour,
Adult Classes

Chaya Leah Tinman, former di-
rector of Keshet, will be the
guest on "The Jewish Hour" on
Sunday, May 19, from noon to
one, on WPON 1460 AM.
The show will focus on how
Keshet affords help to families
and what help those families
may need. Call-ins to the show

Rabbi Herschel Finman will
give a class at his home in Oak
Park on Sunday May 19, from
6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The class, "In
the Desert, Preparing For the
Pentecost," will focus on
Shavuot.
Following at 7:30 p.m. will be
a class in Shaar Yichud
V'haemuna, a basic introduction
to the Kabbala. There is a

"Look At Me Now!" is a physical
therapy program which will be
presented by Tri-County Physi-
cal Therapy & Rehabilitation,
Inc. on Monday, May 20, at 1
p.m. at Jimmy Prentis Morris
Jewish Community Center. El-
lie Schwartz, rehabilitation co-
ordinator, will present ways of
staying fit and developing good
body mechanics. There will be
refreshments and free gifts. This
program is free of charge.
On Thursday, May 23, JPM
will host an afternoon trip to
West Bloomfield to the play So-
cial Security by Andre Bergman.
The group ticket price includes
round-trip transportation, but
you may meet there. The bus
leaves JPM at 1 p.m. Advance
