Beth Shalom Celebrates Congregation Beth Shalom's Religious School marked Lag B'Omer this month with a major celebration on the playground at Norup Middle School and Avery El- ementary. Three tents were set up and three characters from the Lag B'Omer holiday — Bar Kochba (Richard Berg), Rabbi Akiva (Shelley Littman) and Shimon bar Yachai (Dan Barth) — told their stories. The students and their parents also participated in a search of the "Field of Clues" for answers to the 18 Lag B'Omer questions, as Well as softball, basketball, sack races, tug of war and a picnic.
