I truly believe and it's my honest conviction, That truth in life is stranger than fiction. So often one finds, as I'm sure you know That a story he's heard just can't be so. But if you'll listen to me, while I will not deceive, The true story I tell, you may not believe. I now have a friend who has proven to me, Though he has lost his sight, he can really see. He sees with his hands and he sees with his ears; He's seen so much of life through his joys and his tears; He sees when he gardens, as all beauty enhances; He sees when he eats, and he sees when he dances. He sees with his mind, his dear wife does her part; But most important of all, he sees with his heart. More than three score and ten, he still works for a living; His greatest pleasures in life, all come from his giving. If you're down in the dumps, he will give you a lift; Making others feel great, is also his gift. I know that he wants nothing more from life, Than the love of his children and his exceptional wife. So I think one and all will have to agree, Without any sight, my friend, Herb Rosen, can see.
