The Jewish Community Center
of Metropolitan Detroit will of-
fer a senior adult camp experience
at the Butzel Conference Center
in Ortonville, July 15-21. The pro-
gram will feature a full week of
activities including daily low-im-
pact aerobics, discussion groups,
live entertainment, swimming,
boating and fishing. Other activ-
ities include dance instruction,
crafts, nature activities, inter-
generational experiences, story-
telling, guest speakers and
lecturers.
Program participants will have
private air-conditioned guest
rooms at Butzel. All rooms have
private bathrooms with full tub
and shower facilities. Handi-
capped rooms are available upon
request.
The program will feature a
Shabbat experience, with services
Friday evening and Saturday
morning. Three kosher meals will
be served daily, with snacks
available.

Mind, Body
"Look At Me Now!" is a physical
therapy program to be present-
ed by Tri-County Physical Ther-
apy & Rehabilitation, Inc. on
Monday, May 20, at 1 p.m. at
Jimmy Prentis Morris Jewish
Community Center. Through the
use of a video and demonstra-
tions, Ellie Schwartz, a physical
therapist will present ways of
staying fit and developing good
body mechanics. There will be
refreshments and free gifts for
everyone in attendance. This pro-
gram is free of charge.
The Senior Lunch Bunch is a
kosher lunch program for adults
age 60+. There is a hot meat
meal served Monday through
Friday except holidays for a sug-
gested contribution. On Fridays
there is a Shabbat program that
includes blessing of the wine,
candles and challah. For infor-

At Beth Shalom
Beth Shalom High School, USY
and Senior Seminar students
will participate in a Shavuot
Learn-A Thon on Thursday, May
23, at Congregation Beth Shalom
Tikkun Leil Shavuot.
They will secure sponsors for
a maximum of three hours of
learning. A part of the money
raised will lend support to the
families of the bombing victims
in Israel. The other fund that will
benefit from the children's pro-
ject will be the Yad La'yeled
Fund, which pays for local stu-
dents in need.

Beth Achim's Senior Group, will
hold a mini-luncheon and pro-
gram at noon on Thursday, May
16. Dr. Frederic Pearson, director
of Center for Peace and Conflict
Studies and professor of politi-
cal science at Wayne State Uni-
versity, will speak on "Israel's
Response to Terrorism." There is
