— 1995 last month. Ms. Pollack
won a cash prize and a pewter
loving cup. Prior to the Detroit
newspaper strike, she worked as
a staff writer for The Detroit
News. Her prize-winning story,
"Rosie's Diner Serves Up More
Than Good Food," is about a din-
er in Rockford, Mich., north of
Grand Rapids.

OF AMERICAN ART

The Archives of American Art
will hold a tribute to the Ford
family with dinner and a live auc-
tion of jewelry by Douglas
Schubot of Jules R. Schubot
Jewellers at 6:30 p.m. Wednes-
