Sisterhood
60th Jubilee
Vivian Stollman, accompanied
by Sonny Lipenholtz, will lead
the senior choir on Mondays at
12:30 p.m. at the Jimmy Pren-
tis Morris Jewish Community
Center. There is no charge.
Socials are held every
Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Jimmy
Prentis Morris building. Music
is provided by local entertain-
ers singing a variety of songs in-

The Institute for Retired Pro-
fessionals (IRP) will hold its an-
nual election on May 8, at the
Maple-Drake Jewish Commu-
nity Center. The evening will
begin at 5:30 p.m. with hors
d'oeuvres and dinner.
The nominating committee
will then present its slate. Jack
Hurwitz will be nominated for
president; Sidney Levine, Alvin
Luebeck and Sylvia Serwin for
vice presidents; Faye Menczer
for secretary; Jordan Isaacs for
treasurer; and David Hoptman,
Gloria Krause, Edward Chalom
and Bob Chapin for members at
large.
Following the election, the
IRP Singers, directed by Ann
Kutnick, will perform songs
commemorating Jerusalem
3000.

Coffee House
The Hillel of Metro Detroit Cof-
fee House Night will be Monday,
May 20, at 9 p.m. in the back-
room of Lonestar Coffee Co., 207
S. Woodward in Birmingham.
The Hillel Kosher Cafe will
be closed for the summer be-
ginning May 6. The cafe will re-
open in the fall.

The Southwoods Chapter of
Women's American ORT will
hold its annual flower sale. This
year the women are selling gift
certificates for use at English
Gardens through June 5.
