humanity and humor to Early Childhood topics. With 25
years of experience in the field of Early Childhood Ed-
ucation at Mott Community College, Dan has a unique

Enjoy Artists from the Michigan Opera The-
atre performing your favorite songs by Rogers and
,Hammerstein, Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Lemer &
Lowe, and Andrew Lloyd Weber.

Artists include baritone Mark Vondrak, lyric so-
prano Maria Cimarelli and pianist Kevin Bylsma.
Artists will perform on Monday, May 13 at 2 p.m.
in the Aaron DeRoy Theatre at the Maple/Drake
building.

•From May 16-June 27, "In The
Camps: Photographs by Erich Hart-
mann". In cooperation with the
Goethe-Institute Ann Arbor, this ex-
hibit includes photographs of scenes
of bitter events in Germany and Occupied Europe from
1933 to 1945. They recall the vivid events of the destruc-
tion of millions of innocent victims whose murders are
without parallel in history.

•From May 19-June 27, "Akeldama: Tombs of the
Jerusalem Aristocracy". Sponsored by the Jewish Fed-
eration and Guardian Glass, this exhibit includes a
group of elaborate family tombs, hidden underground
for millennia, and recently unearthed in Jerusalem. For

JPI SPONSORS OPEN HOUSE

The Jewish Parents Institute is sponsoring an Open
House on Sunday, May 5 at 10 a.m. in the
Maple/Drake building.

The Open House will give prospective members the
opportunity to meet parents already involved in the
program while their children are integrated into the
regular Sunday school program. Coffee and bagels
will be available.

lesson for beginners with a professional tennis instruc-

Unlock the Jewish Secrets of a Happier Life

with noted lecturer and author

Rabbi Shmuel Irons

Rabbi Irons will lead a lecture series using traditional Judaic texts to uncover knowledge and an-
swer many of life's difficult questions. All lectures will be held in the Meyers Library of the Maple/Drake
building. Light refreshments will be served. Please call the Adult and Family Enrichment Department at
(810) 661-7649 to pre-register for an individual lecture or the entire series. This series runs for four Tues-
days in May at 8 p.m. Admission is free.

Center team up as the major sponsors of
the Fourth Annual "Send a Kid to
Camp" Golf Classic at Tam-O-Shanter
Country Club.
The money raised will benefit the
JCC's Send a Kid to Camp scholarship program
which sends over 700 children in need of finan-
cial assistance to summer camp each year.
The event will be held Monday, May 20. The
golf classic includes an 11:15 a.m. shotgun tee
time, buffet lunch, cocktails, dinner and awards
ceremony. The entrance fee is $250 per golfer ($150
tax deductible) which includes all meals, drinks,
course fees, shirts and prizes. An open bar and
other refreshments will be available. For more in-
