Gives Lectures

Young Israel of Oak Park will
host Dr. Fred Rosner as a schol-
ar in residence on the Shabbat
weekend of Friday, May 3, to
Sunday, May 5.
Dr. Rosner, a medical Jewish
ethicist, will speak on "An Intro-
duction to Jewish Medical
Ethics," "A Patient's Obligation
To Seek Medical Treatment,"
and issues dealing with infertil-
ity. These lectures will be held at
the shul's Greenfield location,
15140 W. 10 Mile Rd. A brunch
at the Oak-Woods location, 24061
Coolidge, will take place at 9:15
a.m. on Sunday, May 5, with Dr.
Rosner's topic being "The Allo-
cation of Scarce Resources/Ra-
tioning of Medical Care."

Adults Finish
Study Program

Temple Israel offers classes to
adults who wish to become bar
or bat mitzvah. To culminate two
years of study, 18 adults of all
ages, male and female, will be-
come bar/bat mitzvah at special
services.
