Congregations
Host Zoo Event

Two local congregations, one Re-
form and one Conservative, will
host a joint Jewish Family Edu-
cation event at the Detroit Zoo
on Sunday, May 5.
Congregation B'nai Moshe
and Congregation Shir Tikvah
will host "Two by Two At the
Zoo" at the Detroit Zoo on Sun-
day, May 5.
Both congregations have used
a family education curriculum
this year which focuses on a dif-
ferent mitzvah each month, in-
cluding the mitzvah of kindness
to animals.
"Two by Two at the Zoo" will
begin at 9:45 a.m. with a guided
tour of the zoo departing from the
main gate and will conclude with
an 11:30 a.m. Friendship Circle
service at the fountain. Refresh-
ments will be served.
Reservations are required.
There is a charge for adults and
for children over 2. Zoo mem-
bership cards will be honored.

Awards Program

The League of Jewish Women's
Organizations of Greater Detroit
will present its 51st Annual
Youth Awards Program on Sun-
day, April 28, at 1 p.m. at Tem-
ple Israel in West Bloomfield. A
reception will be hosted by the
Temple Sisterhood following the
program.

Woodcarving meets Monday
through Friday at 9 a.m. at the
Jimmy Prentis Morris Jewish--\
Community Center. Supplies
are distributed in the beginning.
There is no charge.
"A Little More Work For A
Lot More Play" is a volunteer
program to refurbish the Wein-
berg Playground and the DeRoy
Pre-school Playground at the
JPM. It will meet Sunday, Mayil\
19, from 9. a.m. to 4 p.m. Break-
fast and lunch will be provided
and activities for children of all
