Friends Gather
At B'nai Moshe

On Thursday, May 2, at 7:30
p.m., Congregation B'nai
Moshe's United Synagogue
Youth (USY) chapter will pre-
sent Friends Watching
"Friends," an event open to all
Detroit USYers (8th-12th grade).
There will be popcorn, candy,
and a make-your-own ice cream
sundae bar. In addition, there
will be games and a chance to
win prizes in the raffle.
The cost is $5; bring a friend
for half off. A portion of the cost
will be donated to Tikkun Olam.

Youth Attend
Puppet Show

The Agency for Jewish Educa-
tion will host 4th grade students
at a puppet performance, "The
Kids on the Block," a troupe of
disabled and non-disabled pup-
pets who look like real children
and have real problems they
tackle every day. Students will
have opportunities to ask the
puppets questions about the
\ challenges they face and discov-
er how each person is created
B'tzelem Elohim-in God's image.
The performance will be held
from 10-11:30 a.m. on two con-
secutive Sundays, April 21, at
the Agency for Jewish Educa-
tion, 21550 W. Twelve Mile
Road, Southfield, and April 28,
at Temple Israel, 5725 Walnut
Lake Road, West Bloomfield.
Schools have pre-selected one of
the two date and students will
attend the performance with
their class. Transportation will
be coordinated by the school.
"The Kids on the Block" puppet
performance is free of charge.
