Slates Talks

Young Israel of Oak Park will
host Rabbi Nachum Sauer as a
scholar in residence on the Shab-
bat weekend of Friday, April 19,
to Sunday, April 21.
Rabbi Sauer is the Rosh Kol-
lel of the Yeshiva of Los Angeles
and a member of the Bais Din of
the Rabbinical Council of Los An-
geles. He is an authority on many
Jewish and legal topics. He will
present several lectures during
Shabbat at the shul's Greenfield
location (15140 W. Ten Mile Rd.)
including "The Anatomy of a Din
Torah" — Saturday, 1:30 p.m. –
and "Halachic Problems of a Jew-
ish Attorney"— Saturday, 7:45
p.m.
A brunch and lecture will take
place Sunday morning at 9:15
a.m. at the shul's Oak-Woods lo-
cation, 24061 Coolidge, where
Rabbi Sauer will present "Wills
and Trusts: A Halachic Perspec-
tive" and Mr. Gary Schwartz, an
Orthodox tax attorney will dis-
