The American Jewish Commit-
tee, Detroit Chapter will host
AZM's scholar in residence Yosef
Goell at a membership meeting,
7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 18, at
the Franklin home of Ann Man-
delbaum and George Mann.
This is the third in a four part
series hosted by AJC called
"Conversations With." Yosef
Goell, a journalist for many
years with the Jerusalem Post,
will discuss the idea of Jewish
peoplehood, examining the Mid-
dle East peace process within
that context.

Pre-School
Open House

On Thursday, April 18, 1 p.m.
there will be a free preview open
house for "Hava Nagila - Let's
Be Happy," a new Jewish
preschool enrichment program
for 3-and 4-year-olds, at Con-
gregation B'nai Moshe.
The 10-week series will meet
Thursdays 1 to 2:30 p.m., April
25-June 20, featuring Jewish
stories, games, music, and move-

The Jimmy Prentis Mon-is Jew-
ish Community Center will
celebrate Jerusalem's 3000
birthday with a "Happy Birth-
day Dance" at 1 p.m., Monday,
April 15. Ron Walker will per-
form. There is a nominal charge.
A Yom Hashoah program, "So
We Will Never Forget," will fea-
ture the film Survivors of the
Shoah 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 16.
Dr. Charles Silow of Sinai Hos-
pital will lead a discussion fol-
lowing the film. There is no
charge.
Rabbi Norman Roman of
Temple Kol Ami will play the
guitar and sing for the Israeli
folk song concert 1 p.m., Thurs-
day, April 18. He will present
the history of Israel through
songs. There is no charge.
The choral group of the Music
Study Club will perform at 1
p.m., Thursday, April 25. The
concert has a nominal charge.
"Women's Issues" discussion
will be led by nurse Sharon
Tomaszewski of the Oakland
County Public Health Division
