Operetta Evening At JPM JCCenter An operetta evening, featuring award-winning artists from the former Soviet Union, soprano Zoya Ivanova and baritone Georgiy Greener, will take place 8 p.m. Saturday, April 20, in Jaffe Hall at the Jewish Community Center's Jimmy Prentis Morris building. Mr. Greener, awarded the ti- tle of "Honored Artist of Russia," spent eight years at the Saratov Opera Theatre, had leading roles at the Moscow Operetta Theatre and was a vocalist instructor. Featured on Russian television Ms. Ivanova, awarded the high- est honor for an artist in Russia titled the "People's Artist of Rus- sia," was a leading soloist at the Moscow Operetta Theatre and a vocal instructor. The evening will include a va- riety of arias and duets from pop- ular operettas by Kaman, Lenar, Kraus and Dunayevsky, old Russian romances and Ukranian songs. Emma Maydanchik will accompany.
