Ms. Friedman is the grand- daughter of the late Julius and Pauline Friedman and Jack and Charlotte Scolnick. She graduat- ed from Ohio State University with a concentration in Yiddish and Jewish studies and is pursu- ing a master's degree in education and human development at George Washington University.
